This show is a magical or illusions based show. “Trap Door” sets the stage for your magic show. Various features throughout this faced paced movement will give your drill writer and visual staff plenty of ideas for creating illusions. The use of stringed instruments (cued in the mallets) in “Smoke and Mirrors” offers another opportunity for variety and a bit of hocus pocus and sleight of hand. This is not a conventional ballad but more of a production number! “The Prestige” pulls out all the stops. It is time for the master of prestidigitation to take the field. This show is full of solo opportunities, as well as places to give the high brass time to breathe and produce long impacts. “Illusions” is a powerful vehicle for groups that wants to create a memorable field show. The varied musical moments offer opportunities for magic and illusions. The end of the show is perfect for a grand finale such as someone disappearing or being sawed in half. Your guard and visual staff will love this music (as well as the audience and band proper).
