Although the style originated in New Orleans in the early 20th century, New York City quickly solidied itself as one of the best places to hear original jazz music at all hours of the day. Take a stroll though the West Villiage on any night of the week and walk down the stairs into any of the neighborhood's iconic jazz clubs. Night Under New York features horns, vocals, drums, walking bass lines, and many other sounds and styles that will set the tone for your production. The voiceover set included with this show's sound design mentions the history of jazz and its significance in our culture. With five distinct movements, this show could take your audince through various scenes of the city's night life.
