Show Description

From the very beginning of humankind, we naturally found ourselves organizing into tribes. A social division of family or communities linked by social, economic, religious, or blood ties, with a common culture and dialect, typically having a recognized leader. This entire show is design around a euphonium soloist who is the leader of the rest of the field. Utilizing very catchy melodies from Karl Jenkin’s Chorale VI (Sol Fa), he then leads the rest of the ensemble to also learn these melodies. In fact throughout the whole show, everything always comes back to this one leader. Musically, the result is really cool! Visually, you won’t believe how many ways you can tell your story with this show. This show was original designed by the Columbians Drum and Bugle Corps in Pasco, Washington and has been since adapted to fit a high school marching ensemble.
