Show Description

A secret society can have literal and figurative meanings. A secret society is literally an organization whose members are sworn to secrecy about its activities. However, within our lives we so often do the same thing with our thoughts, emotions and feelings. We step out of bed and before a single other person sees us, we put a mask on that portrays a completely different persona than who we actually are. Why do we do this? Because we want to fit in. Society creates secret worlds and cliques that we desperately want to be a part of. The worst part is that sometimes we put that mask on and we still aren’t allowed into that secret society. The message of this show is simple. Don’t put on a fake persona just to try and fit in. Be yourself and help tear down the walls of that secret society so that at the end of the day, we can all exist within our own skin without having to feel like we have to be someone we aren’t.
