An Update from JCM: 2024 Recap

Hello and happy midwinter!

2025 is off and running, and our team is already hard at work creating new music! As we reflect on this past year, it is hard to feel anything other than gratitude. We are so grateful for every single relationship that we form, and the kindness, love, and support that is shared with us.

2024 was another banner year for us. We were able to serve over 225 schools across the world. And when we say “serve”, we truly mean it. Every single one of our clients matters to us no matter who they are, where they are located, or what size their program is. We are so passionate about providing great opportunities that every single school we work with energizes us because we know that our work supports the betterment of young performers.

We traveled quite a bit this year! Tim’s sound design work was well represented with Impact Percussion and Vaquero Indoor winds in Dayton, Ohio this past spring for WGI world championships.

The team spent quite a bit of time on the road this summer with our various drum and bugle corps that we are involved with. The majority of our team worked with the Columbians Drum and Bugle Corps in either a design or instructing capacity as they made their second trip out to Indianapolis for DCI world championships. Tim and Jeff designed sound and brass for the Seattle Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps as they returned to semifinals in Indianapolis for a second year in a row. Jeff co-arranged the brass for the Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps in their trip to Indianapolis for the inaugural DCI all-age division where they placed second in world class. Tim finished his first year as sound designer for the Madison Scouts as they made DCI finals for the first time since 2017! He also completed his third year on the audio team with the Blue Devils as they finished third at DCI finals!

We returned to Bands of America Grand Nationals in November for our second year as a team. We loved cheering on our clients at Greendale High School as they brought down the house with their 2024 program, T Squared!

And lastly, we attended the Midwest Conference in Chicago for the first time in December. At our booth, we were able to connect with countless directors and professionals from across the country. It was a thrill to meet long standing clients in person for the first time as well as establish new relationships and chat with students who have performed our shows! We loved every minute of our experience and will certainly be back next year.

Now in 2025, we’re already serving so many clients this early in the year. This last weekend, we visited TMEA in San Antonio for the first time! We were so delighted to be welcomed by all of the attendees and the directors we had the privilege of meeting at our booth. Like Midwest, the connections we made and relationships we created are truly invaluable. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it!

Looking forward, we will be headed back to Dayton to support Tim’s work with Impact Percussion and Vaquero Indoor winds. We are also excited to support some new indoor winds clients including Vortex Indoor Winds and Capital Regiment Indoor Winds! The summer will be busy once again with all of us returning to the same drum corps that we worked with this past year. And in the fall, we will continue to invest heavily in our local music community as well as returning to BOA Grand Nationals and the Midwest conference.

As the marching arts evolve, our mission never changes: provide shows that are fun to play, fun to watch and competitive. It’s never about us, it’s always about our clients and specifically, the students. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and support as we enter the new year. If you ever find yourselves at the same event as us, please say hello! Relationships are so important to us and we will never shy away from a chance to grab a coffee or a slice of deep dish pizza in Chicago at Midwest!

Keep an eye on our social media platforms as we introduce our core team, preview our 2025 and top sellers catalog, post client testimonials, and more!

Have a fantastic 2025!
